The Digest is an HTML newsletter that is automatically generated and sent to every registered member of the Neighborhood Website.
This simple automated digest provides a critical permission based marketing mechanism for helping to ensure the success of your community site!
This email is sent out on a timing which is fine-tuned for your system, this can be daily, bi-weekly, weekly or monthly.
The content of the Digest is a summary list, by category, of every new item that has been added to the Community Web Site in the period since the last Digest was sent.
Each item is briefly summarized, and a clickable-link is provided that takes the member straight to that item inside the neighborhood website.
Items included in the Digest, are:
- News - the headline is shown
- New registrations - name of new registrant is given and link to send a private message to new user
- Events - summary of event
- Classified Ads - summary of advert, by category
- Discussions - summary of discussion by topic
- Documents - title of document
- Gallery - titles of photos
